A truly unique experience for those who feel the pull of simpler, gentler times.

You’ll discover the comfort and charm of a reconstructed authentic Ozark log cabin. Every detail has been attended with all linens and utensils provided. Bring only your personal things. The cabin is fully outfitted with cooking, heating, and food cooling. There is no electricity ala 1800’s. So, of course, there is no TV, no air conditioning — no modern distractions — just the lull of the land and the woods and an inspiring view from the spacious porch.  Oh yes, and snuggly soft nights in the sleeping loft and the songs of coyotes in the distance, owl hoots, and the call of the whippoorwill.

This cabin is one of or most popular — perhaps it is not for everyone, but a memory-maker for those who love it. Your old time log cabin features complete seclusion. and and outstanding view into the river valley below.

Two queen beds in the sleeping loft where you’ll find an alcove with a camping toilet for nighttime use. Relax on the large covered porch featuring a porch swing, rockers, a comfy hammock, and table.   Water is provided in carboys. Light is by oil lamps or by lights powered by a small solar system. A gas-fired wall furnace keeps the cabin cozy on cold days. Outside you will find a clean, comfortable privy (that’s an “outhouse” for some), a relaxing fire pit (wood is provided). Trail to the river through the woods.  A unique, relaxing & Memeorable experience.
